"Gallo Rosso," the "Red Cockerell," is a recently restored stone house located in a village overlooking the town of Bagnone.

This romantic hideaway, restored using traditional materials and methods, is nestled in the hills overlooking one of the Lunigiana's most interesting castle towns, Bagnone. Two terraces take advantage of the views and the afternoon shade. Furnished with antiques and art work, you'll feel like you're spending your vacation time in a secluded hideaway rather than a bare-walled building fitted only for tourists.

You'll approach Gallo Rosso through a medieval borgo archway, making your way to the last home on the street at the edge of town.

The Kitchen - Traditional curtained storage, a marble sink and work area, and a rustic stone wall combined with modern appliances make cooking a pleasure. There is a separate dining area off the kitchen.

The Bathroom - The bathroom is situated on the first floor and is finished in a style that complements the house's elegant finish. There is a small bathroom on the upper floor outside the bedroom.

The Living Area - The cozy living area contains a wealth of history: the stone walls that keep the property cool in the blazing Tuscan sun must date back to medieval times; the furniture in the sitting room date back several centuries, but the house contains all the amenities you'd expect in a recently restored Italian home.

The restorers of the home draw your attention to the details in Gallo Rosso, the stone arch, the fireplace. Colors are warm Tuscan shades. This is one cozy house that has only one flaw--you might not want to leave the house and explore the wealth of sites in the Lunigiana!

The Bedroom - The bedroom is on the upper floor. It has an attached bath and its own terrace.
